The Public Prosecution is one of the independent judicial bodies that conduct investigations into all types of crimes that occur inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Public Prosecution replaced the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, which was subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Interior, as stipulated in Article 1 of the Public Prosecution Authority system. It is directly linked to the king, and no one interferes in its work. It enjoys complete independence in line with the regular rules and principles followed in many countries of the world and in accordance with the rules and legal provisions and the importance and necessity of separating the executive authority in the state and the judicial authority.
The aim of this study was to clarify the role of the Public Prosecution in the Saudi justice systems and its judicial applications - a comparative analytical study, by clarifying the nature of the Public Prosecution and the Saudi justice systems, and clarifying the role of the Public Prosecution in the Saudi civil justice systems and its judicial applications, the role of the Public Prosecution in the criminal justice systems Saudi Arabia and its judicial applications, the role of the Public Prosecution in the Saudi administrative justice systems and its judicial applications, the role of the Public Prosecution in the judicial systems of an economic nature and its judicial applications.
The study relied on the descriptive, inductive and analytical approach of the statutory texts of the Saudi justice systems. The study reached several results, including that the Public Prosecution plays an important role in many civil, penal, administrative, and justice systems of an economic nature.
